Door A — Amazon · the money track

Amazon is holding your funds.

Here's the thing the reinstatement industry doesn't lead with: the money and the account are two separate decisions. Amazon generally holds a deactivated account's balance for 90 days — and at 60 days, a separate appeal opens that asks only for the money. Sellers win their balance back every week on accounts that never sell again.

The two tracks, separated

Track 1 — Reinstatement

The Plan of Action appeal: get the account back. Long odds on serious violations, worth doing well once — but it is not the only door to your money, and waiting on it while ignoring Track 2 is the most common seller mistake.

Track 2 — Disbursement

The funds appeal: get the balance decided. Opens at 60 days after deactivation under Amazon's Funds Disbursement Eligibility Policy, runs on its own merits (account history, open claims, A-to-z cases), and does not require the account to be reinstated.

Your notice names the contact route (disbursement-appeals). Miss this track and the money waits for the full hold — or longer, if nobody asks.

An honest warning about Amazon's own numbers: Amazon's help pages and forum staff have at times described different disbursement timings (60, 90, even 180 days appear in Amazon's own channels). The policy we quote is the Funds Disbursement Eligibility Policy as checked 2026-10-18. Your case correspondence controls — which is why the kit's tracker logs every Amazon reply with its date.
