TikTok's US Seller Enforcement Policy says it in plain text: funds may be withheld for 45, 90, or 365 days depending on the violation, and withheld permanently where TikTok finds deceptive or fraudulent activity. Your notice names your tier. Everything else — the appeals, the correction path — is about moving that decision.
The hold follows the violation decision. That means the money fight and the violation fight are the same fight on TikTok Shop: reduce or overturn the violation and the hold decision is revisited with it. Sellers who write separate, emotional "where is my money" tickets while their appeal sits unbuilt have the order backwards.

Checked 2026-10-18. Where the source class says "reported," that is the range sellers report in practice — it is not the platform's promise, and your notice controls.
Permanent withholding is a different case. If your notice uses the deceptive/fraudulent language, stop treating this as a template problem. Build appeal #1 carefully, and read the lawyer page before you spend appeal #2 — on this notice type, the attorney market ($1,500–$2,300 for TikTok cases) exists for a reason.
